About the App
Your Daily Companion
Alzheimer's, a progressive condition affecting memory and cognition, presents ongoing challenges in daily life. With the MyDay app*, individuals gain a powerful tool to navigate these hurdles effectively. From maintaining clear schedules and personal journal to anticipating changes, MyDay empowers users to reclaim control and independence, ensuring a smoother journey through the complexities of the disease.

The Problem
An Alzheimer's patient goes through a process of loss. The ability to learn and remember information, to give meaning to the world around him, to plan and make decisions - all these abilities and many others are impaired and make everyday tasks more and more difficult. The stages of Alzheimer's disease are classified into mild, moderate and severe, mainly according to the level of ability to function in daily activities.

The main difficulty that comes up repeatedly is the confusion arising from changes or the inconsistency of the schedule. The need to maintain a clear and fixed agenda is critical, and as soon as it is violated - the feeling of confusion increases and with it a sharp decrease in cognitive abilities (you forget more, get stressed, and lose the ability to make healthy judgments). Another important aspect is maintaining independence and self-confidence while supervised and protected by the care providers.

* From a conversation held with occupational therapists who treat Alzheimer's patients, it emerged that because today the telephone has become a "part of us" and it is already integrated into our behaviour - even Alzheimer's patients in the coming generations - will know and remember how to use the telephone and will go to it as a reliable source of conduct.
